A building’s electrical distribution system must have an AC distribution board, commonly referred to as an AC DB or AC main distribution board. It is often located close to the electrical meter and is used to distribute the building’s alternating current (AC) electrical power to various locations.

The AC DB is in charge of distributing power in a building in a safe and effective manner. It acts as the hub for this distribution. It is made up of a number of parts, such as circuit breakers, fuses, and surge protection equipment, and it is intended to offer defense against electrical problems and power surges.
